I teach guitar, bass guitar and double bass at all standards. As well as teaching at Trinity School in Croydon I am available for private tuition. My teaching is done from home in Oxted, Surrey. I have over ten years experience in teaching and have previously worked at Dulwich College Prep School, Woldingham School, The British Academy of New Music and Bromley High School as well as having taught for the Croydon Music Service and Bromley Music Trust. All styles are catered for and I submit students to all the major examination boards.

Although I tailor my teaching to meet individuals' needs, in dealing with beginners to intermediate players I use Roy Chilton's 'Pick Guitar' and 'Pick Bass' books. They provide a thorough and very structured approach to their respective instruments.

For more advanced students I concentrate on developing a player's strengths as well as remedying any weaknesses. I ensure that a player is well equipped to deal with any situation which they may face as well as being able to demonstrate a good repertoire. General musical awareness is another area which I seek to enhance within my students.

Above all, I insist that learning a musical instrument should be FUN!!!
